Lesley: So today we need to discuss preparations for our essay. We should choose a few concrete subjects to address and delegate who will write each part. We also need to strengthen our thesis statement before writing the essay.

Alanna: Hmm. I claim writing about.... the proroguation of parliament. Proroguation is spelled so wrong. But after all, who even heard of that word before Harper threw it into our faces and the world?

Janice: I could check out some other blogs, websites and newspaper articles about the OC Transpo strike while also looking at past strikes that are similar. Sound good?

Alanna: I could also talk about my offensive personal problems.

Lesley: I don't know about the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Alanna: Okay. You take the proroguation of parliament, I'll do the Israel-Palestine/Gaza conflict and my personal issues. Maybe. Maybe is for my personal issues, I mean.

Lesley: Maybe you shouldn't expand so much about personal stuff in the essay, just maybe relate back to general conflicts that we as citizens encounter.

Alanna: I could always try to universalize my problems, while still pulling my inspiration from things I actually know and have experienced.

Janice: Sounds good. cuz almost every teenager around the world has had some sort of friend conflict or something. In fact almost every person in general probably has. Alrighty, did we have something else to cover?

Alanna: I think we should write the introduction to our essay right now, right here, and post it here. Together.

Janice & Lesley: Let's do it!!
