Hi. This is Janice and Alanna. Lesley isn't here today. Today we're going to do some preliminary research into current events that co-relate to the Dr. Seuss story 'The Zax'. I, Alanna, strongly suggest the Israel and Palestine conflict. I heard on the radio this morning that they're fighting in Gaza. AGAIN. I considered writing a poem about Gaza. The idea I have requires more research into Gaza, though. So I'll have to wait. Maybe I'll post the poem here when I'm done if it actually works out and doesn't suck. Poor Gaza.Perhaps we should also look into Dr. Seuss's original inspiration for this story. I wonder if it might actually be about Israel and Palestine. I don't know, I don't know how the conflict was back then. I feel bad. I should know more history.
Janice: I think another idea that we could work into 'The Zax' story line or what not is the current OC Transpo strike. Since both the city council and the union of bus drivers are being rather stubborn. I mean, It's been like what....4 weeks? Jeeze people, make up your mind already.
Alanna: This is officialy the longest bus strike in the history of Ottawa! :[
Janice: It is very upsetting.
